António Reis and Margarida Cordeiro April 28–May 6, 2011 at JeonJu International Film Festival , Jeonju

The special will screen three representative works by the pair Antonio Reis and Margarida Cordeiro. Although they only made four films from 1974 to 1989, they are considered as the artists who established the most rigorous and consistent original cinematic world in the history of Portuguese cinema. Their works are thought to best show Portugal's geographic, historic, and cultural complexity. Antonio Reis, in particular, is famous for being the teacher of Pedro Costa, the central figure of last year's Jeonju International Film Festival special retrospectives.
